Building worp.me

worp.me didn't start as a business plan. It started as an itch. I wanted a single page for all of my links — but every link-in-bio I tried boxed me into the same rigid layout. I could never arrange my page the way I actually wanted it. And, honestly, at the time I wasn't even sure how to build something like it myself. That gap between what I wanted and what existed was reason enough to start.

Not another single-layout tool

The first decision was easy to make and hard to live up to: worp wouldn't be one more link-in-bio with a single fixed template. I added multiple layouts so a page could actually feel like yours, and I put real work into the admin panel — the place where you build and rearrange everything — because that's where people spend their time.

The part that scared me: analytics

Then came the trickiest piece. Analytics. I had zero experience with it, so the early days were pure experimentation: how should the data be structured? What can we actually collect? What is legal to collect? Every answer opened three more questions.

The one thing I refused to compromise on was scalability — analytics is the feature that has to keep working when there are thousands of pages and millions of clicks. I went with Tinybird, ran a lot of experiments, and, faster than I expected, had something solid in place.

Analytics was the part I was most afraid of. It turned out to be the part I'm most proud of.

A link shortener, almost for free

With analytics figured out, the next must-have was a link shortener. Because I'd already done the hard thinking with Tinybird, this part moved quickly — I built it, tested it, and wired it straight into the link-in-bio. The foundation I'd fought for earlier paid off exactly here.

Where it is now

Somewhere along the way, worp crossed 2,000 users — and the feedback has been genuinely great. For a project that began as "I wish this existed, and I'm not even sure I can build it," that's a milestone I don't take for granted.

More to come.
